Services and Pricing

Here at The Reading Panda, I offer editing services for a variety of fiction genres. I also work with literary nonfiction and marketing copy on occasion. In general, my editing services align manuscripts and copy with the recommendations in The Chicago Manual of Style and Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary. However, if you have an in-house style guide or preferred dictionary, I'm happy to adapt to your preferences.

Proofreading:

My proofreading service includes correcting spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and basic grammatical errors (subject-verb agreement, incorrect homonyms, and the like). I'll also flag errors that may have been introduced in the layout process, like spacing oddities, missing pages, or out of sequence chapter numbering.  

Copyediting:

My copyediting service includes proofreading, suggestions to improve sentence flow and style consistency, and brief comments and suggestions regarding the overall plot structure, dialogue, and character development.
